HobbyLink Japan is an Internet mail-order business based in Japan which ships Japanese hobby products, toys and publications to customers all over the world. Our comprehensive online catalog contains a wide array of products ranging from sci-fi action figures and model kits, scale model kits of tanks, aircrafts, cars, and bikes, to anime-related merchandise such as prepainted figures, resin kits, apparel, dolls, trading cards and more. We also carry a large selection of hobby supplies. In addition, we sell our products in yen generally at Japanese retail prices, which means that the final cost of getting products from us is generally far lower than purchasing through traditional import agent channels, even when taking into consideration the added cost of shipping.

Our business has grown to the point where a single customer service representative could no longer handle all the customer-service related e-mail. We use it to respond to our mail accounts that handle customer complaints, questions and the like. We have also created a link within the fields for each contact provided by MailTank to link directly into an internal customer service database. So with one click, an operator can open up a customer data screen internally that shows the customer’s current and historical sales and order history with us giving the operator all the information they need to quickly respond to inquiries about status. It’s a fantastic combination.
